Celebrating the Center Clinic's 20th Anniversary.

The Origin Story:

The Center Clinic was established in 2004 by a Public Health Nurse and a Primary Care Provider who recognized that the community was lacking services for teens and individuals who were underinsured or uninsured. We started as a sexual and reproductive healthcare clinic but have evolved into a community clinic. Not only do we offer medical care, but we also provide mental health services, support groups, and educational classes. Additionally, we collaborate with several local schools to deliver sexual and reproductive healthcare education to students.

Our Future:

One of our goals is to educate our community, especially the LGBTQ community in rural MN. We aim for everyone to feel included and informed about health-related subjects. How can the Center Clinic connect with patients and others in our community to ensure everyone has access to factual and accurate information?

This question was the catalyst for starting our blog. Our aim is for the blog to be a platform offering easily accessible resources. Upcoming posts will feature interviews with medical experts and monthly educational articles on STIs, mental health, and other health-related topics.
